Ostrov nad Ohri - test trolleybus track

For long period, trolleybuses were manufactured in Skoda Works in Plzen. However, at the end of 50’s they started to built new factory in Ostrov nad Ohri in mid-sized city close to famous spa Karlovy Vary. Factory was finished in 1964, however in 1962 a 5,1 km long test track over the public hilly route between Ostrov and Jachymov was built.

Although there were plans to start here normal public transport service, this was never done, and this line is still for testing purposese only. Mostly all vehicles, that they were manufactured in factory are tested here.

This 14TrM trolleybus is now in Jihlava under no.45. Here is shown on Jachymov radnice, "endstation" of this testtrack.
